Known for: An English Roman Catholic priest during the time of the Reformation, who was martyred for his beliefs in 1581. He was later beatified by Leo XIII.

School Days: Sherwin was at Eton from 1563 – 1567, and a K.S., one of only 70 students at a time when the college was just over 100 years old.
